Villa dei Leoni is a structure from 1800 that still illustrates the style and culture of the noble families of that period who spent their weekends and holidays on the Riviera dei Limoni. It has of course been restructured and the ground level, with an enormous terrace, now has three independent apartments while the owners occupy the first floor. Immersed in a vast garden full of Mediterranean vegetation and lemon trees, it is in the centre of this little fishing village called S.Tecla. The swimming pool and its surrounding terrace are completely hedged offering much privacy and is opened at the beginning of May. The apartments are simply and adequately furnished and the rooms sport the original high, vaulted ceilings. A short walk down the driveway to the Villa gates, one arrives into the village where there are bars, pizzerias and restaurants offering typically Sicilian, fish specialities. Within a further five minute walk is a rocky beach and the beautifully clean, clear Ionian sea.
